Friday Favorites-HOCO prep...

mum base
Well, this week my daughter and I finally experienced the "Texas" mum tradition. You know, the tradition where the girls wear a gigantic fake flower adorned with numerous ribbons, glitter and trinkets around their neck and the boys wear a smaller version on their arm? Well...we were a little very overwhelmed when we first started the decorating process. The lady making it for us was super helpful and we truly appreciated (and needed) her direction...believe me when I tell you that the only limit is your imagination. Ultimately we were super excited and we cannot wait to see the finished product. I guess I'm not in the "moms against mums" group anymore. So with that being said it looks like we'll be shopping for HOCO dresses this weekend. Wish us luck in finding the perfect dress and TGIF!

Friday Favorites...Fall Y'all

my favorite decor for fall
Yesterday's high was 92 degrees. It's not your typical fall weather but I decided what better day than the first day of fall to put out my velvet pumpkins for the season. Plus, my mom was here so her helping me place them just right was an added bonus. We have a pretty full weekend with my parents in town and celebrating Jack officially becoming a teenager. did we get here so fast? Looking forward to a little cake, a little bubbles and a lot of fun this weekend.

Try It Tuesday...2 blog worthy beauty products

I had every intention of bringing you a new recipe to try this week but time got the best of me and it just didn't happen. What I did bring you is two new beauty products to try that I discovered over the weekend. Drum roll please...
TJ's salt scrub
You can't beat the price or smell of this $6 salt scrub which works wonders on your skin. It's non-abrasive and softer than most salt scrubs. It's full of beneficial oils and your skin will thank you after your first use. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this and will be my go to scrub for when I don't feel like making my own. Click here for a TJ's close to you...

Lash Love
My daughter and I needed some mascara this weekend so we tried this one above in black from a friend of mine. We both are super happy with it and being flake and smudge free is a bonus. Click here to contact if interested in some lash love for your lashes.

Have a great week and see ya back here for Friday Favorites...

Friday Favorites...

first junior high game
Well here it is Friday again and as you know I'm not mad about it. It was a full school/work week but  watching Jack play in his first junior high football game was the icing on the cake. We've finally caught our stride and have officially transitioned from summer to school mode. That's definitely a tough transition to make don't ya think? Looking forward to a low key night so we can rest up to tackle this weekends yard work and festivities. Hope you enjoy my favorites from the week and cheers to the weekend.

Try It Tuesday...3 in 1 eye cream

3 in 1 eye cream
I'm back with Try It Tuesday and this week I'm talking eye cream. We still haven't settled into our weekly school groove so there haven't been a lot any new recipes that have hit our kitchen table in the past few weeks. So back to business, this was one of the first Rodan + Fields products I started using. I'm talking game changer ladies and gentlemen. Yes, men can use it too. It has some pretty powerful peptides that will minimize those crow's feet and reduce the appearance of puffiness and those dark circles that we all get with age. Oh, and there is a correct way to apply eye cream since it does travel up to an inch when applied. Here's the skinny on that:

Not bad for 2 months in with no surgery right? Have a great day and leave a comment if you're interested in learning more or feel free to check out my website:

Friday Favorites...I'm baaaack

My two week summer break from blogging turned into about a 2 month leave of absence. I will have to tell ya it was a much needed and refreshing time away from the screen. Our summer flew by but had a blast taking a few vacay's and enjoying life with a "looser" schedule. Our time spent in NYC and in Cooperstown, NY surprisingly was one of the most relaxing and memorable trips I've been on. The kids are back to school and I'm enjoying my new gig as a R + F independent consultant. Yah, Yah I'm that girl now, but I promise not to overshare...but their products are the bomb! So...if you're in the market for game changing skincare, here's my website if you would like to take a look.

Here's a look at my summer through my iPhone. Have a safe and fun holiday weekend y'all!
