This past week was full of camps for the kids and late night dinners. I enjoyed running the kids around and seeing them enjoy the long, hot summer days. They have been requesting these cinnamon roll waffles pictured above a lot and it's the easiest breakfast to make while pleasing the both of them. Stick your cinnamon rolls in a waffle maker for about two minutes and you have the best of both worlds!

Even though school has been out for two weeks it still doesn't feel like summer. I guess it's because we really haven't had that summer weather quite yet. Tropical Storm Bill brought Houston a rainy week and one where I have changed from my gray sweatpants to my darker gray sweatpants to really changing it up and wearing my blue sweats the past four days. Ya...we haven't left the house too much this week! We have played board games, watched numerous movies and even made our killer homemade chocolate chip cookies. I guess I can thank mother nature for keeping our water bill down so far this summer and for blessing us with pretty green grass and plants. Here are my favorites from this week and hope you all have a wonderful weekend celebrating the dad's in your life.

Your home should tell your story and displaying artwork is one of the easiest ways you can tell it. It can really make a space come to life and it can also tie everything together for a nice finished look. The internet has given us access to such a huge range of affordable art from so many great unknown and independent artists. I came across Alexandra Nazari, a LA based photographer, on Minted.com and I can't help but to be drawn to her whimsy, California landscape prints. I take one look and I'm instantly California Dreamin'. Here are a few of my favorites from Alexandra:
There are so many different print styles you can choose from and framing is also available from Minted. I am so pleased with the frame options and love that it will be picture ready when it arrives. While I was browsing their site I was amazed at all of the different categories they have to choose from. You can pick out home decor, party decor, announcements and planners. In the market for wedding invitations? Minted has a new line available with tons of options for those of you getting ready to take the proverbial "plunge" that can be viewed here. I wish this site had been available 17 years ago when I was getting ready to send out my invites...shoot, you Generation Xers have got it made!
*Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Minted.com and this is my honest opinion of their site and products. I was provided with Minted.com credit for writing this review.

I feel like a giant weight has been lifted off my shoulders now that school is out and our summer vacation has officially begun. It has been an extremely busy, but awesome school year but we are all ready to take a load off and enjoy these long summer days. We have been celebrating our son's 5th grade graduation and our daughter's stellar school year all week and these bundtini's take the cake. Hope your summer is off to a great start!

It's that time of year again where sunscreen is a major player in my everyday skincare routine. Hello Supergoop and welcome to my world! Sunscreen lotion has always been my go to but I tried this oil at Sephora a few weeks ago and fell in love. It's a lightweight oil with a perfect scent that will make you think you're on the beach with an umbrella drink in your hand. The 50 spf protection is nice and this 1 oz. bottle is just the perfect size to fit in my purse. I'm pretty sure that I will have to go for the 5 oz bottle as well! BTW-their products are made without those nasty parabens and full of healthy ingredients. I know this post sounds like an ad but it's not...just passing along what I love. Click here or here to read more and look at their other products.
P.S. Their CC face cream is great for the summer months too!
