Try It Tuesday...

My thoughts exactly!
The sun hasn't made an appearance in well over a week here in Houston. It has been dreary, cold and rainy which is the perfect mix for me to not want to leave the house. I'm taking full advantage of this weather and making lots of soups and comfort foods. One of my favorite restaurants from back home is Cleveland-Heath and their brussel sprouts are the best I've ever had. Actually, I just started eating them four years ago because I couldn't resist trying them when a friend of mine ordered them for lunch. Luckily, I came across their recipe in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch over this past Christmas break and they've been on repeat ever since we came back to H-town. Click here to view the recipe and I promise you these will warm your soul and guarantee they will get you through the cold months.

  1. I LOVE brussels sprouts!! And it's so hard when the sun doesn't come out for days... (we don't seem to have that problem here in Socal). When I lived in New England sometimes it felt like months would go by without a single sunny day. Here's to some sun coming your way!

I emailed them a couple of years ago for their kale salad recipe - and they sent it to me! I was so happy - Dewey not so much, since he hates garlic AND kale. LOL And that's what I eat there - Brussels sprouts and a kale salad! :) YUM (amen to the sweatshirt too)

  3. I hear ya! This weather is horrible. It wouldn't be so bad if the sun would come out.

  4. Brusselsprouts huh?.... Hmmm, not sure how I feel about that. Possibly worth trying now that I'm an adult...

  5. I seriously love that! Can't wait until April when I will be on a beach, haha!

  6. I still didn't decide if I love or hate brussel sprouts, I love to eat it when cooked in grill houses, but still can't cook them on my own))

  7. Love brussels sprouts so much more now than when I was a kid. I need that sweatshirt. It's been so dreary here too. Thankfully Fri and Sat it's supposed to be nice!

I wish I had that sweater right now. I am so in love with it. Amazing post.

  9. Oh my goodness I heard about all of the rain in Houston (where I'm from too) but we were in Florida too for spring break! :)

Thank you for leaving a comment! I love hearing what you have to say!
