I don't use rosemary to cook with but I do keep it on our back patio because it is a natural mosquito repellent and I am also a big fan of its short needles and wood like stems. It is gorgeous in these white pots and so I thought...why not use a sprig of it for our place settings. The smell and pine resemblance is the perfect touch for this time of year...
If you don't have a pair of Joyce Chen scissors in your kitchen then you need to buy them here. My kitchen will never be without them. Cut your rosemary, take a decorative piece of paper that I'm sure you have around your house and use your favorite sharpie to write your names. Poke the end of rosemary through the paper and voila you have yourself a very beautiful and inexpensive place card!
I love to use chargers to add dimension; couple that with some white simple plates, a cloth napkin and a special place card and you will have a beautiful place setting for an easy and relaxing holiday!
P.S. Which flatware is out of place?

Love your antlers and pumpkins! Darling tablescape! What a wonderful rosemary plant you have--I use ours to rub under whole baked checken skin before it goes in the oven--thank you- now I have another use for it! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
ReplyDeleteLove your centerpiece with the pumpkins and the antlers. Your gold flatware is gorgeous. I've always wanted some too. Great idea to use the rosemary. I bet it's very fragrant too.
ReplyDeleteI really love this project!! :) And rosemary plants are so great because they're almost impossible to kill! And the knife and spoon are switched... right??
