I love a glass (or even two) of bubbly and the occasional mimosa, but what I don't love is wasting half the bottle. Good champagne should not go to waste! The kids had been messing around with different healthy drinks and freezing them in ice cube trays so I thought why not try the same thing with champagne! I decided to freeze my leftover champs into an ice cube tray so I can pop a cube out and enjoy a mimosa on a special occasion or if I'm just in the mood! The result is fantastic.
Freeze your champagne.
Put a cube in your glass and pour your oj.
Make sure to let the ice cube melt.
Instant Mimosa!
Hi Charity, So nice to meet you. I am visiting from Brandi's blog and intro of you.
ReplyDeleteLove this idea using Champagne. I have done this with juices but what a great idea and drink ready to go anytime.
Lovely blog and enjoyed my visit.

DUH! What a great idea! I hate wasting wine/champs, and don't always drain the bottle. :) Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteSorry, chiming in again. I've read the same thing about fresh herbs. Chop them and freeze them in ice cube trays and then you can pop them into soups/pestos/whatnot when you need it. Just thought I'd share. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! I have thrown away our holiday champagne, in the past, but I will try to remember this idea. Thank you! Found you over at Brandi's~
