Oscar night 2013...

On our way to recovery after a big celebration weekend. Busy with celebrating an 11th birthday,

Jack's baseball tourney and having fun with my parents who were in town!
I'm not going to do a recap of who wore it best...honestly I was a little disappointed this year.I was glad to see that Adele made some better dress choices than at the Grammy's and in my book Leslie Mann took home the best dressed award.

We enjoyed the star studded event in our sweats
sweatshirt-alternative, sweatpants-abercrombie, tank top-Target & Ainsley bracelet-Stella & Dot

but with Oscar winning jewelry.
 Fabulous Dinner of
crab cakes, roasted shrimp and feta & spinach orzo washed down by bubbles!

Happy Monday!

Billy said what?...

The Oscars are right around the corner and Billy Crystal said it best last year when he said to
"enjoy yourselves because nothing can take the sting out of the worlds economic problems like watching millionaires present each other with golden statues!"

I'm not much of a movie person...I don't enjoy going to the show and I can't sit still long enough to watch one at home. I know that this awards show is seen by more people around the world than any other annual event but I would much rather watch the red carpet to see who's wearing what...shocker right?
Although it might be fun to apply to be a seat filler for that night...hmmm something to think about.
For those who look forward to see who wins their golden statue here is a ballot to print so you can make your pick and play along from home.

Screaming Spring...

Screaming Spring...

Screaming Spring... by charitylittle featuring high heels

Love putting together different outfit choices to help people think outside the box... Although the top and DVF shoes are pricey I am loving them. What  great inspiration to go find the look for less! There are so many options to go with it...what accessories would you choose to wear?
Happy Friday!

And the Grammy goes to...

There's two award shows I look forward to every year. The Grammy's & the MTV Music Awards. Both are on my bucket list to attend...Not sure if I'll ever cross it off but that's o.k. If not, I'm perfectly content watching them in my pj's at home drinking fancy wine.
I'm like a kid in a candy store waiting to see what everyone is wearing on the red carpet.
Here's a few that caught my eye this year:
I'm pretty sure I would have worn something like this if I was lucky enough to be walking the red carpet.
LOVE this dress...Love this so much that I took a picture of this when I was at the Gucci store about 3 weeks ago while I was shopping with my friend Lisa. I knew it looked familiar when I saw her being interviewed by Ryan...
But I would wear this to the Oscar's instead of the Grammy's...just sayin' Katy
I'm not a big fan of Rhianna but I'll  give her credit when credit is due...thumbs up to her in this Alaia dress. Stunning...
Taylor in J. Mendel...love the creme silk chiffon.
J.Lo in Zuhair Murad...a bad reminder of Angelina Jolie here.
Although J.T. was a P.I.M.P last night his jacket was not. The material reminded me of a 1980 prom dress gone wrong.
Adele...you were at the Grammy's not at a garden party. Please let me be your stylist.
Last but not least thanks for rocking the bells L.L.

Morning Glorious...

This is how I've been starting my mornings, well I should say after I down my two cups of coffee

It's called Morning Glorious and it is so Glorious that you are going to want to kick start your mornings like this too!
We have juiced for years but always seem to stick with the apple, carrot & celery juice. It's easy, kids like it and it's just good!
But I thought it was time to venture out and see what else is out there that we might like. So again I turned to Kris Carr and her new book Crazy Sexy Kitchen.
Here's the green:
1 large cucumber
A fistful of kale
A fistful of romaine
2 or 3 stalks of celery
1 big broccoli stem
1 green apple, quartered
1/2 peeled lemon, quartered
1. Wash and prep all ingredients
2. Juice all ingredients
Simple as that and don't be afraid to let me know how glorious this makes your morning!

Bundt Cakes & Candelabra's...

This is how I blew out my birthday candles this year. Mini bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes and a fancy Cake Candelabra to put on top! I've been waiting anxiously to use this since last July when I spotted it and had to have it. Nine candles fit into the silver toned base and it added the right amount of posh to my birthday cake! The perfect centerpiece for your cake. I bought mine at Nothing Bundt Cakes but you can also find the Fred Cake Candelabra on Amazon
