Thai and I'm not talking food...

I swear by this product. If you don't believe me you can ask Mark. And if you don't believe Mark you can ask Mike since he's the one that introduced Mark to the crystal deodorant stone.
I stopped wearing deodorant years ago because of the aluminum and chemicals that came along with it. I chose to go the "natural" route with Tom's of Maine which is good but nearly as good as this. I dare you...try it and you will be pleasantly surprised. I heard it lasts a year which is way cheaper than buying deodorant. Think of it as the $6 funkless, natural pit!!!  No more white marks on clothing although you will sweat a little bit since it's not an "anti-perspirant" but it's healthy to sweat out your toxins anyway right?
Let me know what you think!

高さ; 身長; 高地; 標高

 高さ; 身長; 高地; 標高

Jack cooking his own birthday dinner Sunday night at Atomi! Please do not contact CFS, for we obtained the proper work release form prior to his performance! We used bactine for the minor burns he received while he was doing fire bombs for our entertainment! Man I didn't realize how hot those hibachi grills can get...
All joking aside, we had a great birthday weekend with Jack! Our special guests..MeMe and Grandad came in for the fun as well! We hated to see them leave however our recycle bin had had enough! It was overflowing with 8 oz water bottles and the Houston Chronicle newspaper thanks to Grandad!

The Space Shuttle Endeavor passed right over our house on it's way to California! The kids and I witnessed history around 7:30 yesterday morning...pretty cool huh?

Glory Days...

Ryan and I stayed super busy this past weekend while Mark and Jack flew to Phoenix to catch up with some old buddies at Chase Field. Here's a little something from #11 in the Dbacks program but #1 in my heart...
*********************************************************************************
"People talkin' and their sayin that you're leavin...
So unhappy, 'bout the way that you been living...
Awwwwwawwaw We only wish for money, we only wish for fame
we think we have the answers, some things ain't ever gonna change"
(my batter song)
Well they sure change! And I wish that I could say that they change for the better, but not during an alumni game.
**********************************************************
For the record...I didn't get hurt. I did get beaned (have the bruise to prove it and probably the only time in my career that I didn't run to first-figured it might be my only at bat so I stayed in the box) but hung in there to hit off of Elmer Dessens. Robbie Hammock was catching so I am pretty sure that he called for the old middle finger routine (thats what catcher's put down when they want to hit the guy up to bat). Well it didn't work, because the kid singled down the left field line (should have been a double except Ernie "not so" Young was running in front of me and I had to settle for an extremely long single. I scored later in the inning but not before I ran right out of my spike while advancing from second to third on a double play ball. The game ended in a 2-2 tie (we only played 4 innings) but I would have to say that Matt William's home team would have prevailed had we played the "Texas-tie breaker" that we were supposed to play had we had any pitching left. I am surprised that Bud Selig or Congress has not got involved with implementing some Rule 5.19 that states that an alumni game cannot end in a tie.
On the lighter side, I was asked by David Delucci if I had been playing softball since I retired because I looked so fresh in the field and at the plate...HAHAHAHA Jeff Lantz and Wally McNeill should love that one!
I am so glad that Jackaroo got to go with me. We got to play catch on the field in front of the 30,000 fans that stuck around after the Dbacks game to watch the real game afterwards. I hope that he enjoyed it! I think that he had a blast with the other kids and he definitely enjoyed the bubble gum and sunflower seeds as well as showering with the fellas after the game.

Where are you supposed to put your glove when your hands are busy doing something else?
Me and Jack trying to figure out how I am gonna peel my pants off after the game

Stella & Dot in the house...

Please don't condemn me! I know I have shocked the heck out of a lot of people by deciding to become a Stella & Dot stylist. Yes, you heard me right, I am selling jewelry from home.  Is this something that I ever thought I would do? No, not in a million years! But after finding out that I could enjoy amazing jewelry and get paid to share it with others I was in.

 Stella & Dot is different.

Forget about past home parties where you go kicking and screaming feeling the pressure to buy something just so you don't feel out of place.  There's no speech, gimmicks, games or pressure to buy. It's a casual atmosphere where you try on boutique style jewelry that is seen on countless celebrities.

Fabulous right? This is a glimpse of what Stella & Dot has to offer. There's something for everyone and half of the line is $50 and under! Host a trunk show. What's the worst that will happen? Stop thinking negative about home parties...change your friends minds and earn some free jewelry! It will be two hours of trying on amazing jewelry and a great time!

Check out my personal Stella & Dot website where you can shop my site for the latest accessories to fire up your fall wardrobe.

Click here to check out the latest accessories that are all over NYC Fashion Week.

Shoot me a message to book your show now or, if you're interested in doing this part-time I will be happy to send you some info. Easy as that... Trust me you won't regret it.

Houston based design blog you don't want to miss...

Another week has flown by and I have to say I'm looking forward to the weekend. I have had a crazy week filled with running the kids to and from, helping with homework and all of my other "mom" duties. Plus as of this past Tuesday I officially became a Stella & Dot stylist and couldn't be more excited to be involved with such an amazing line of jewelry and accessories!

********************************************************

More on that later but for now I would love for you to check out my friend Lisa's design blog! She is an interior designer here in Houston and her style is amazing...see for yourself by clicking on her blog

P.S. Be sure to check back next week to see what I will be showing 30 days of!
What do you think it will be?

60 years young...

This past weekend my dad turned 60 years young.
Here he is blowing out his candles...thanks to FaceTime we were able to join in the festivities 1000 miles away.

We had a relaxing Labor Day weekend at home and now we're off to a running start of shortened but busy week.

I snapped this beauty of a pic with my iPhone yesterday. Watch your back Annie Leibovitz...
