In the hood...

This was about a mile from our house this morning

And this gator was across the street from where the hot air balloon was a couple of weeks ago.

No joke, my neighbor Susanne had a friend that snapped this picture. We've seen alligators in the lake here but NEVER roaming around the streets.

Watch your backs neighbors...

not too orange and not too red

Mark surprised me with a bike a couple of weeks ago and

this is how Junie B and I roll these days....

Had a busy weekend and didn't have time to take her on a ride.

Delilah somehow climbed on top of her tree. Sure wish I could have seen her in action!

Made the best s'mores ever last night...

using Peeps instead of regular marshmallows. Off to Target now and keeping fingers crossed that they still have Peeps left over from Easter!
Happy Monday!

This is how we spent Easter...

This year we decided to spend Easter weekend in Florida. Even better that the Smiths and Loys were there!
Here's a few pics of what we did...

Safari putt putt golf-their favorite course in Naples!

La Playa...favorite place for sunset, s'mores and cocktails with great friends.
Stacy I need the group pic!

Kiddos back together again...

Crab cakes at Swan River..btw they are broiled! My favorite along with the crab cakes at
Gibson's in Chicago.

Always love spending time at the beach this time of year (sure wish you could have been there mom and dad) and we checked off all of our fun things we like to do when we're there in three 1/2 short days! Even caught a movie, spent a day at the beach and did a little shopping.  We had so much fun the kids didn't even notice that we didn't dye eggs this year. Oops...

From Illinois To Texas

Does anyone know what kind of plant this is?

Autumn Glory maybe?

If I remember blooms late summer/early fall. This is the second time that we have started over on this plant and this is this little guys 2nd state (Texas baby!!!). Years ago, we took a bloom from my granny's plant and planted it in our backyard in Illinois.  I wanted to take a bloom when we moved to Texas back in 2010 but it slipped my mind. Go figure, I mean, we sold our house in 2 days bought a house the next week and were living in the "Lone Star State" 22 days later.

Can't believe my good friend Jodi remembered that I had wanted to take a piece of gran with me to Texas so she went to our old house and took a bloom so Bauer could bring it to me when she came in February!!!

I guess we will see how this little guy likes the clay down here. So far so good, as long as I remember to water (thank God for sprinkler systems).
