Hey ya'll....Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Ours was quite fun and relaxing. Friday night we attended a birthday party for one of Ryan's friends at the pool. We awoke to our garage shelf falling down around 12:30 a.m.-glad to know it was only a shelf falling instead of someone trying to break in!!! Mark used our lawn mower for the first time Saturday afternoon-quite exciting! We had a few friends over for a bar-b-q Saturday night and a relaxing Sunday at the pool. I actually stayed home and cleaned my closet!!Yippee! Yes, it is finally organized. Mom and dad are in Washington-just spent a few days in Yakima visiting our dear friend Mike Bell. He's the one that manages for the Yakima Bears. They are now going to explore Seattle until Thursday. Here is a picture of Mike and his children-Luke & Mikayla. C-ya

It was all about music and fun last night at the Edwardsville library park! Babaloo came to perform for all the kids and it was a night filled with a lot of dancing, singing, and running around. We topped it off with a trip to Annie's and then called it a night.

Aunt Dee and I packed up the kids today and headed to the zoo! We were driving over this morning, listening to my celebrity dirt on 107.7, and MJ used a colorful term describing someone as a stupid b!@#$. Guess who picked up on his term? Yep, Jack a roo-That was the next set of words out of Jack's mouth! Oh, I hope he has forgotten it by now! Aunt Dee & I did everything we could to hold in our laughs! It was a beautiful morning and we saw a lot of animals. Jack and I liked the penguins, Ryan liked the donkeys, giraffes, & penguins and Aunt Dee like the Cheetahs. We even saw the baby elephants dusting themselves-I have never understood why animals love to clean themselves in the dirt! We finished with lunch at the Boathouse in Forest Park. Love that place-next time we're going to take a paddle boat ride on the lake!

It was a big day for Ryan Bray today! Today we went school supply shopping at Wal-mart! She and I both were so excited-When I was younger I couldn't wait to go shopping for all of my supplies for the school year. Ahhh....the little things in life. We also ordered her backpack & matching lunch bag today as well! Can't wait to get it in the mail! So I think we are set for Kindergarten which starts August 21. I still can't believe she is going to be starting school in less than a month. Oh how time flies! so that was our day-Oh, one more thing. We had to drive over to St. Louis today because Mark walked out of the house this morning without his wallet. He needed his license to be able to pick up his game tickets for tonight and to drink a brewery fresh Budweiser. Guess I'm going to have to start checking him before he leaves for work everyday. I don't have room in my schedule to start running his personals to him wherever he is for the day.

Mark will now have another chore to do around the house....cutting the grass! He purchased a lawn mower this weekend and he couldn't be more excited about it. It's something that he's been wanting to buy for a long time now but there was never a reason to do so. We had to move our outside beer fridge to the basement so we could make room for her! He's looking forward to his first cut-We'll see how long that lasts!!

In-N-Out’s coming to NYC. Take that LA and cows! [DListed]Check out www.goodeats.orgThe article on In-N-Out possibly setting up shop in NYC is interesting because they have always said they wouldn't move East. Hmmmm....selling out maybe? St. Louis would be a great market for them...Edwardsville even better!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that Jack is doing well. He saw the doctor this morning and he said that his burn is healing quite nicely. So that is good news to us! The bad news is that he has to stay home/down for another week and no swimming for at least 2-3 weeks. I can handle the no swimming just as long as he heals fast and 100%! Also, pretty soon, as long as the wounds aren't weeping-it doesn't have to be covered! That means no more bandage changes!YIPEE!!!

Friday kicked off with a family dinner at the McNeill's house. Walls attempted to grill hamburgers.....after he brought them in they had to go in the oven to finish cooking since they were RAW! They turned out to be one of the best burgers I have ever sunken my teeth into! It was a nice night visiting with everyone and had some good laughs as usual with Wally around! OH! Ryan has a loose tooth-she bit into a piece of corn and it knocked her bottom tooth loose! Did a lot of minor repairs around the house yesterday-Jack has kind of kept us homebound so I seem to be getting some things organized & cleaned up around here! His burn is looking a lot better but still a long way to go until he's 100%. Last night I had Chicken Piccata for the first time and it was FABULOUS! Sue made dinner for us and we had another wonderful meal and great conversation!! I'm going to attempt to get my closet organized today-what a mess that is. I need New Space in a bad way-hope everyone had a good weekend!

Papa tomato is walking down the street with his baby tomato. Baby tomato keeps lagging behind-so the papa tomato walks back to the baby tomato and steps on him and says.....KETCHUP! This is our first official tomato of the summer and can't wait to eat it-probably would have had a couple more by now if Jack a roo wasn't so curious!!! It looks like a ball bud but it's not!
